Vinicio Capossela dedica il suo colto progetto musicale alle forme che l’amore poteva facilmente incarnare secondo i bestiari medievali.

Da Pan, tutto, e demonio, dunque tutto demonio, in opposizione a pan theos, tutto Dio.
Dunque un concertato per tutti i demoni, accompagnato da un insieme di strumenti musicali che insieme evocano il Pandemonium, mitico strumento gigantesco, del tipo dell’organo da fiera, completamente costruito in metallo, pare dai sudditi del re Laurino, nel regno sotterraneo abitato da esseri di piccola statura in grande confidenza con l’estrazione mineraria. Questa origine ctonia conferirebbe un tono grave allo strumento, che tiene a bassa quota lo spirito relegando ritmi e armonie a una dimensione infera, primitiva, che non riesce a elevarsi al cielo, ma sembra sprofondare nella terra, a tiro del fuoco perenne, in un rimestamento che è lavorio della memoria continuamente sollecitata al fuoco bianco.
Pandemonium è anche il nome della rubrica quotidiana tenuta da Capossela durante il periodo di isolamento quarantenale, sorta di almanacco del giorno, che metteva a nudo le canzoni e le storie che ci stavano dietro con le storie di una attualità apparentemente immobile, ma in continuo cambiamento.
Pandemonium è un concerto narrativo con canzoni messe a nudo, scelte liberamente in un repertorio che questo anno va a compiere i trent’anni dalla data di pubblicazione del primo disco “All’una e trentacinque circa” (1990).

Vinicio Capossela dedicates his cultured music project to the forms that love could easily embody according to the medieval bestiaries.
“Da Pan, tutto, e demonio, dunque tutto demonio, in opposizione a pan theos, tutto Dio.”
From Pan, all, and demonio, therefore all demons, in opposition to pan theos, all God.
So, a concentrate for all the demons, accompanied by a set of musical instruments which evoke the Pandemonium, giant mythical instrument, such as the fairground organ, entirely build in metal, apparently by the subjects of King Laurin, in the underground kingdom inhabited by people of short stature who are confident with mining. This chthonic origin would give a deep tone to the instrument, keeping the spirit low and donates rhythms and harmonies to an infernal and primitive dimension which can’t rise up to the sky. It seems that it’s sinking into the earth, in range of eternal fire, in a stirring that is work of the memory constantly urged to the white fire.
Pandemonium is also the name of the daily column written by Capossela during the lockdown, a sort of almanac of the day. The author exposed the songs and the stories behind them with the ones of an apparently still topicality, but constantly changing.
Pandemonium is a narrative concert with songs exposed, freely chosen in a repertoire that this year celebrates its 30th anniversary of release of the first album “All’una e trentacinque circa” (1990).
